Mr. Bober is an Advisor in the Becht Performance Group, focused on recommending effective technical and operational training to clients worldwide.
Mr. Bober holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (now the New Jersey Institute of Technology). He served as a Process Engineer, Project Developer, Economist, and Manager at Exxon’s Bayway Refinery for twelve years. He then joined Mobil Research and Development as an FCC Specialist. He managed technical training for Mobil Engineering, worldwide, until Exxon and Mobil merged in 2000. From this point, he managed worldwide technical training for ExxonMobil Research and Engineering and then retired from managing the Technical Portfolio for ExxonMobil’s Global Manufacturing Training initiative – with a combined service of 37 years to the two companies.
Maureen Brody has over 10 years of experience in professional and technical writing, technical training program development, and project management. Her extensive research and writing experience spans a variety of fields, including market research, training program development, and the creation of knowledge transfer materials. As a former teacher, she brings superior skills in curriculum development, project management, program development, customer engagement, and communications, and adult learning techniques. Ms. Brody combines creativity and attention to detail to assist in the development of client needs specific training materials, technical documents, and assessments. She has leveraged these skills to provide unique and innovative technical training to clients in the oil & gas industry.
Ms. Brody is currently Production Support Manager for Becht Engineering’s Becht Performance Group. Ms. Brody holds a BA in English from the Pennsylvania State University.
John Shipley works as a Senior Project Manager for Becht Engineering’s Dimensional Technology Services division. John has been working in the engineering and survey industry for the past 24 years. He began his career as a 3D CAD Specialist with a large EPC and quickly developed an interest in as-built survey. He joined one of the pioneers of laser scanning technology and has spent the last 20 years as a Field Technician, Operations Manager, Business Development Manager and Senior Project Manager.
Allen Feltzin has over 30 years of experience in process engineering, maintenance, operations, and construction in large scale industrial plants based on his long career with BOC Gases, Murray Hill, New Jersey. He developed world class, state of the art cooling systems which were installed at over 80 sites in North America. He was responsible for every aspect associated with cooling towers: design, specification, erection, inspection, testing, retrofits, upgrades, and demolition.
Al developed and presented training courses on cooling water treatment and cooling system equipment, both in North America and globally. He conducted a comprehensive audit achieving cost reductions and optimizations on a 360,000 gpm seawater cooled system at a 360 MW combined cycle power plant.
As an Advisor with Becht, Al has worked with a European refinery to control calcium phosphate deposition and Legionella. He provided consultation to a US Gulf Coast Refinery on cooling tower life cycle optimization: repair vs. replace, review of inspection reports, thermal performance assessment, oversight of contractors, and asbestos abatement. He has built strong professional organizational affiliations, authored numerous technical papers and made presentations to various industry groups including the Cooling Technology Institute, American Chemical Society, National Association of Corrosion Engineers, Compressed Gas Association, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Mr. Feltzin has the following professional affiliations: Cooling Technology Institute, American Chemical Society, National Association of Corrosion Engineers, Compressed Gas Associations, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Mr. Feltzin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Delaware.
