Scheduling and Prioritizing maintenance and repairs for equipment, effectively, is a key consideration to control costs in a refining facility. The challenge for these activities is to ensure that equipment reliability is maximized by executing work which is properly prioritized and scheduled. Structured work processes are used by the stakeholders to provide consistent input to the Planners, using risk based work selection methods. Computerized tools facilitate the use of this work process. KPIs are used to track costs, and backlog of work scheduling practices. Assistance can be provided to train maintenance personnel and other stakeholders for the Work Selection and Prioritization process.
