Mr. Wright has 38 years experience in downstream plant engineering, reliability, maintenance, inspection and mechanical integrity. He comes to Becht from Stress Engineering Services (SES) where he served as Principal in the Plant Services Practice since 2013 (Engineering Manager) and on the Board of Directors. He was responsible for the Downstream Plant Engineering Practice that included 5 offices.
Mr. White is a recognized industry expert in Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity (FEMI). During his years 35 years of experience, he has been involved with all aspects of FEMI in various roles from both owner/user site position and Corporate roles and consulting on Inspection, Equipment Engineering, Fitness-For-Service, Failure Analysis, Corrosion & Materials and Welding. While the majority of his experience is with Refining, Clay has also been responsible for MI groups in three different Chemicals facilities.
Derek Becht is a chemical engineer with expertise in design, operation, and optimization of process equipment. He has supported every refinery process unit in either a process or operations support & management function. Derek has extensive experience supporting capital projects including two replacement FCC Reactors, new Crude Unit and FCC Main Fractionator pump-around heat exchangers, Crude Column Preflash internals, a Turbine Fuel Merox expansion, and
Rick Hoffman joined Becht Engineering in June, 2009 as a Senior Engineering Advisor. He has more than 39 years experience in engineering, reliability management and maintenance in the refining, petrochemical and synthetic fuels industries. Before joining Becht Engineering he was the Director, Specialty Engineering for LyondellBasell Industries. In this role he had worldwide responsibility for corporate technical support, mechanical engineering and maintenance for more than 40 chemical plants and two refineries. He was also responsible for capital project support, setting the strategic direction for Lyondell maintenance and reliability programs and all engineering and maintenance standards.
