A Latin American refinery encountered low margin operation prior to reconfiguration. Their target was to improve site margin prior to clean fuels and bottom-of-the-barrel upgrades. The objectives were to identify, analyze, and implement margin improvement opportunities and minimize capital.
Becht collaborated with the client to brainstorm process, energy, and reliability opportunities. The team analyzed opportunities using subject matter experts and analysis tools and assisted the client in dry runs to test and implement those opportunities.
Becht identified over 150 potential opportunities with a potential value of $3/bbl crude.
Becht implemented $0.50/bbl of achieved benefit.
