Situation: Offshore rig had a surge tank which suffered an overpressure event and experienced significant bulging.
Action Taken: Becht completed the FFS per API-579.
Results: FFS showed the vessel was good for full design pressure.
Analysis resulted in savings of substantial replacement costs.
