Case Study – Vibration of Gas Plant Piping
Situation: International onshore gas plant receiving station was experiencing severe vibration which was limiting throughput.
Information: Becht sketched a reinforcement scheme while onsite.
Action Taken: Becht identified that the structure supporting the piping did not have proper bracing in the direction of motion.
Results: The addition of reinforcement to the structure eliminated excessive motion and allowed for full throughput performance.
