Successful 4Q 2013 Turnaround at PetroLogistics

PetroLogistics is a major producer of propylene and is the only independent dedicated propylene producer in the United States. PetroLogistics owns and operates the world’s largest propane dehydrogenation facility, based on production capacity, located in the vicinity of the Houston Ship Channel.
Becht Engineering supplemented the Owner’s Team during an October 2013 turnaround, which was deemed especially challenging given the large amount of scope added very late in the planning process. The Client gave high praise to the Becht Engineering Advisors, listed below, and cited each as integral members of the shutdown team, and strong contributors to the success of the overall effort.

•    Buddy Blackwell – Senior Rotating Equipment Advisor
•    Reynold Christiansen – Senior QA/QC Advisor
•    Kenny Garrett – Senior Field Supervisor
•    Joe Geiger – Shop Surveillance during 101J HP Rotor Fabrication in Pennsylvania
•    Denny Malli – Senior Field Supervisor
•    Charles Ripkowski – Senior Field Supervisor
•    Justina Stamness – Lead Primavera Planner/Scheduler
•    Marlin Waldrep – Shop Surveillance during Steam Turbine Rebuild in Houston

We thank our team for their hard work, commitment, and dedication in meeting the Client’s goals of safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
