Integrated Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program
A major US refinery lacked consistency between MI programs across multiple locations. The client needed updated corrosion systems, circuitry, isometrics, and CML selection and placement. The client also wanted to incorporate multiple aspects of an MPI program into their IDMS (RBI, CCD, and inspection planning).
The Becht team worked with the existing systems to incorporate legacy data. The team updated programs to meet new corporate standards, developed implementation standards to ensure consistency, and updated field drawings using laser-scanning technology.
Becht integrated RBI and inspection planning into the IDMS, developed mechanism documentation, updated inspection data, and implemented a work process for future projects.
Becht’s innovative approach improved inspection planning efficiency, eliminating redundant systems, reducing leaks and improving uptime, and improving efficiency in concurrent CCD/RBI programs.
