Becht Welcomes Fronek Power Systems Team

The engineering consulting operations of Fronek Power Systems LLC (FPS) are now part of Becht Engineering, effective January 26th, 2018. The former FPS staff is now part of the Becht Engineering team.

Frank Fronek will continue to manage the Fronek Piping Group (FPG), a division of Becht Engineering, in the Orangeburg, NY office supported by the entire Becht Engineering team located throughout North America. Fronek provides expert services related to Power Piping, including design, stress analysis, supports, assessments, troubleshooting and other related tasks.

Frank has worked in the fossil power industry for 48 years engineering, designing, analyzing and supporting HE Piping systems in new coal, gas, oil, biomass, solar and other type power plants, as well as condition assessment and troubleshooting of operating facilities. In 1983, Frank founded a piping engineering company in NJ and a fabrication shop in Texas to produce a complete line of pipe support components and related structures. These facilities were acquired by The Shaw Group in 1994. After working for The Shaw Group, Frank founded Fronek Power Services (FPS), a piping engineering company, acquired by Becht Engineering in January 2018. Frank will work in the Orangeburg, NY office as the Division Manager of Fronek Piping Group.

Frank has wide-ranging global experience with new and operating power plants utilizing ASME B31.1, EN, ASME I, AISC, MSS and other related codes and standards.

Blagoje Baljozovic is a mechanical engineer with 36 years of powerplant and piping engineering and design experience on coal fired and combined cycle power plant, solar power plant, offshore oil drilling platform, process plant and mining projects as design and project engineer, stress analyst and construction site engineer. Experience includes 28 years of use and implementation of plant 3D CAD systems (Aveva Plant Design Management System [PDMS] and Intergraph Plant Design System [PDS]).

David C. Anthony III, P.E. has worked in the power industry for 8 years with Fronek Power Systems. David’s experience includes pipe stress analysis of high energy piping systems, on-site field inspections of piping and pipe hangers, pipe support design, troubleshooting and implementing recommendations on piping that has been damaged from transient events, and developing outage plans for the replacement of piping.  He has experience with ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, API 579, API 610, ASCE 7, and other various codes and standards.  David will be working out of the Fronek Piping Group office, currently located in Orangeburg, NY.

Kyle Kourelakos is a recent graduate from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and has worked in the power industry for 1½ years with Fronek Power Systems. Kyle’s experience includes pipe stress analysis of high energy piping systems, pipe support design, and on-site field inspections of piping and pipe hangers. In addition, he is proficient with various engineering applications such as CAESAR II, AutoPipe, SupportModeler, Smartplant3D, AutoCad, and Microstation. He has experience with ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, API 579, and various other codes and standards. Kyle will be working out of the Fronek Piping Group office, currently located in Orangeburg, NY.

R. Peter Deubler P.E. (Pete) has 48 years’ experience in the power industry in the principal areas of piping, supports, mechanical engineering for various types of power plants including fossil, combined cycle and nuclear plants.  He has designed critical systems for new plants, troubleshot during start up and operation, designed modifications to existing plants, and performed remaining life evaluations.  Pete also has experience in other types of plants and facilities as well as I&C.  Pete is an active member of many ASME Code Committees including B31 Piping Committee and B&PV Code Technical Oversite and Management Committee.

Jon Heredia, M.Sc. has an experience of more than 11 years in the Power Industry. He has worked the last 7 years as Mechanical Engineer in Fronek Power Systems LLC. Responsible for the analysis work, piping and support design. Multiple visit and walkdowns to Construction sites to resolve installation and startup issues and operating plants to perform piping assessment. He has experience in ASME B31.1 and other codes and standards. Before joining FPS, Jon worked in an EPC company and AE firm in Spain. Jon lives in Bilbao (Northern Spain), the city where the new office is located.

Gorka Millán, M.Sc. has been working in Mechanical and Piping Engineering (mostly in Power projects) for more than 11 years. Gorka started his career in a multidisciplinary Engineering firm and has spent the last 7 years working as a part of Fronek Power Systems staff (recently acquired by Becht Engineering). Gorka’s experience is mostly based in Pipe Stress analysis for Critical Piping systems but has worked also in other mechanical duties such as developing P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment specifications and data sheets, pipe supports design, etc. As part of FPS team, Gorka worked in several Critical Piping Design Reviews, as well as site inspections and troubleshooting during erection and commissioning. Gorka lives in Bilbao metropolitan area (Northern Spain).
