A US Gulf Coast client was limited in tankage and blending systems. Their target was to improve site margin through improved utilization of the existing tank system. The objectives were to analyze tank utilization and implement procedures to open value and minimize capital.
Considering crude intake, Becht collaborated with maintenance, intermediates, and blending. Becht also analyzed the system for reallocation of tanks using subject matter experts and analysis tools, analyzed systems to reduce water storage, and assisted in implementing opportunities.
Becht helped the client optimize crude and product via tank optimization, gaining $0.05/bbl, which was a 10:1 ROI.
