Logistics Management – Client Limited in Tankage and Blending Systems
Situation: US Gulf Coast client looking to improve site margin through improved utilization of existing tank system.
Action: Becht reviewed crude intake, maintenance, intermediates, and blending . In addition, we analyzed system for reallocation of tanks using subject matter experts and analysis tools. Becht then assessed systems back into refinery to reduce water storage. Presented client with proposed options. Assisted the client to implement opportunities.
Result: Client reallocated Tanks, updated API schedule and reviewed internal operational performance to gain capture. The refinery optimized crude and product via tank optimization.
