Matt Hansen
Matt Hansen is a chemical engineer with nearly a decade of experience spanning operations, consulting, and SaaS product management in the refining and chemicals industries. His roles have included Software Product Manager, Process Automation Manager, Process Safety Consultant, and Process Engineer. Before joining Becht, Matt led cross-functional teams to develop an industry-leading software solution for relief systems management. He also conducted large-scale pressure relief and flare system studies and managed a process automation team focused on streamlining critical workflows.
As the Product Owner of BechtPractices, Matt bridges the gap between engineering users and software developers. He engages in customer demos, internal design meetings, and collaborative discussions to gather business context and translate it into actionable requirements. He oversees the product backlog, drives feature prioritization and scope discussions, and partners closely with the development team to deliver effective solutions.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
